EV SSLAn SSL/TLS certificate encrypts the connection between your visitor and your website and verifies that the site really belongs to you.
Passwords, forms and payment information are transmitted encrypted between the browser and the server; third parties in between cannot read the content.
Browsers mark pages that do not use HTTPS as "Not secure". A valid certificate removes this warning.
Google has used HTTPS as a lightweight ranking signal since 2014. It does not determine rankings on its own, but HTTPS is now a standard expectation.
The encryption strength is the same for all three types; the difference lies in what the certificate authority verifies about you.
Only verifies that the domain is under your control.
In addition to the domain, the existence of your organization is verified; the organization name appears in the certificate details.
The most comprehensive organization validation. Current browsers no longer show a separate green bar in the address bar; the organization name appears in the certificate details.
A Wildcard covers all first-level subdomains of a domain (*.example.com). Multi-domain (SAN) certificates combine several different domains in a single certificate.
You carry out every step from order to installation in your customer panel.
Select the certificate and the term and create the order; after payment, the certificate is ready for configuration in your panel.
Generate the CSR on your server and paste it into the panel, then select the validation method (e-mail, DNS or file). Your private key stays on your server.
Validate the domain with the method you selected. For OV and EV products, the certificate authority also verifies your organization details.
When the certificate is issued, you download it from the panel and install it on your server. Free reissue before the term expires is also done from the same place.
For DV certificates, you only need to prove that you control the domain; you do this by e-mail, a DNS record, or a file uploaded to the server. For OV and EV certificates, the certificate authority additionally verifies your organization details and may request documents.
A DV certificate is enough for blogs, personal sites and small projects. Choose OV if you want your organization's name to appear in the certificate, or EV if you need the most thorough organization validation. A Wildcard certificate covers all subdomains, and a multi-domain (SAN) certificate covers several domains.
Under CA/Browser Forum rules, newly issued SSL certificates are valid for a maximum of 200 days. If you buy a term of one year or longer, you can reissue your certificate free of charge from your panel before it expires and install it on your server.
Once the certificate is issued, you download the files from your panel. Installation guides for common servers and panels are available in your panel and in the knowledge base; if you get stuck, you can open a support ticket.
The certificates we sell chain to root certificates trusted by common browsers and operating systems such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
